Movie Review-The Cinderella Man(2005)

Have you ever boxed before? Have you ever stood up from failure? In Cinderella Man, the main character lost many boxing matches, because his family doesn’t have any money to live. That's why the Cinderella Man still stood up from his failure at the end.

The movie starts with James who is the Cinderella man. At the beginning of the movie everyone thinks high of him because he won the first competition. But unfortunately, in the ring he breaks his hand so he is forced to give up. After he looses his job boxing he’s having the application to be a temporary worker on the construction site. He needs to work to live, and he has four kids to raise. When his hand is more comfortable he goes back to the ring, because he thinks of his family he uses this reason to simulate him to win in the boxing ring. Finally, he meets the opponent that is the world heavyweight champion Max Bayer, for the livelihood of his family, James must make every effort to complete his final bout.

The scene I like is in the end of the story when James meets the world heavyweight boxer. James try his best to defeat his opponent and win the fight. This scene is really touching because a light heavyweight boxer won the game in the end. Everyone thinks Max Bayer will be the champion of this season, but James changes the history of the champion of boxing.

I liked Russell Crowe who was cast as James J. Braddock. The reason I liked the main character was because he acts with all his heart. In the movie, he is very hard working, he uses his life in exchange of his family's happiness.

I am giving “The Cinderella Man ” a rating of 9.0 because the climax makes me really nervous and excited, but the only part I don't really like is the scene that is too cruel for me because it is too bloody and violent. I like how the story goes, the actor acts good and naturally. This movie I will recommend to people who like the movie that have a happy ending.

Everyone read the fairy tale Cinderella before. But this movie is a totally different version of Cinderella, this one is about a boxing man. This movie changed my mindset a lot. At first I felt James cannot stand up again maybe he is a loser in life, but he changes himself by changing his mindset, so he can have the day of success. Everyone needs to work hard to be successful, no one can get success without hard work.
